EBSA Softball
For girls in grades first through eight, a rapidly growing sports option is fast-pitch softball. All teams play about 12
games during the season and then participate in a playoff tournament. All games are played at 6 pm on weekdays. The
season runs from May 11 to June 28. About half the games are played at James Park or Evanston Township High School,
with away games played against teams from Skokie, Niles and Morton Grove.
For experienced players who would like to compete at an advanced level, the
Evanston Baseball and Softball Association sponsors fastpitch softball travel
teams at the 10U, 12U and 14U levels. Our intention in forming traveling teams is to develop squads
that play as competitive a game of fastpitch softball as possible. Tournament
teams typically play five or more games over a weekend within driving distance
from home. For more information, click here.
